TINA MOHINDRA

Tina is a contemporary abstract artist , born in London and now residing in Oxfordshire, whose paintings explore the intersections of science, spiritual philosophy, and nature. She works primarily with oil and acrylic paints, creating layered, dynamic compositions that reflect her fascination with balance, connection, and the unseen structures that shape our world. Tina is particularly intrigued by intrinsic and extrinsic energy fields and their fusion. Opposites that lean toward one another: forceful and the yielding, the luminous and the shadowed…circling, completing, and transforming each other.

Creativity has been a constant thread throughout Tina’s life, nurtured alongside a formal education and career in science. As a scientist, she has worked across a range of clinical indications, developing a deep understanding of complexity, systems, and discovery; all of which echo through her visual language. She has continued to develop her creative practice, studying at the KLC School of Design in Chelsea, where she honed her artistic and design sensibilities.

Her dual experience in science and the creative industries fins expression in her abstract paintings, where analytical precision meets intuitive exploration. Each piece is both an inquiry and a meditation, inviting viewers to experience harmony between the rational and the spiritual.

Tina works from her studio on the Cotswolds border, an idyllic space nestled within an orchard and fed by a natural spring well. This tranquil setting inspires her practice and infuses her work with a sense of grounding and connection to the natural world.
