JESSICA PARKER

 " I work from my Studio in Kiddington, situated just outside Woodstock. I love exploring places and buildings that have fallen into disrepair aiming to capture memory and atmosphere.

 I work mainly using mixed media, loving the way their differences offer contrast in textures and tone. Acrylic paint works well for me offering a  vast range of colours, and has great layering possibilities, allowing me to constantly edit and rework my paintings. Alongside this, I use ink and collage materials, very often making my own using a gelli plate printer. I am also on the look out for various ephemera, which adds to the feeling of time gone by. They also add an element of surprise to the work.

I teach mixed ability classes throughout the week on a regular basis and run monthly mixed media workshops both from Kingfisher Studios.
